Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley, 25 June, 2016 – More than 1,200 young entrepreneurs attended to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (#GES2016) at Silicon Valley. From June 22–24, hundreds of entrepreneurs and committed investors have come together at the heart of American innovation, Silicon Valley. There, the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) Executive Director has lead a training session for entrepreneurs.
Year after year the GES is established as a source of opportunities for thousands of young entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to participate in this international high-level event. CEOs, entrepreneurs, decision makers, angel investors, were all sharing experiences at Silicon Valley.
#GES2016 showcase inspiring entrepreneurs and investors from around the world creating new opportunities for investment, partnership, and collaboration; connect American entrepreneurs and investors with international counterparts to form lasting relationships; and highlight entrepreneurship as means to address some of the most intractable global challenges.
The summit included a wide range of workshops, panels, ignite talks, pitch competitions, mentoring, and networking sessions aimed to give participants tailored opportunities to gain skill and relationships that will help their ventures grow. Within the Summit there were demonstration areas, experiential learning exhibitions, and opportunities to connect with industry experts.

On June 22th, in the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit the YABT conducted an innovative workshop, a hands on lab to boost brainstorming and clear paths to make them happen. More than 5o people attend to the Training Session “Creative Execution - Bringing Ideas to Life” at the Graduate School of Business.
The Mini Business Labs create awareness among young people on the steps of generating creative innovative ideas that later can be transformed into real businesses. This training methodology has been adapted to a condensed but effective one-day sessions where practical tools for young people in the process in business creation are provided. The session “Bringing Ideas to Life” was part of #GES2016, in an entire day of the Summit focused on Young Entrepreneurs and Women. Activities included Master Classes on Product Brainstorming, Courageous Entrepreneurship, training sessions on Engaging the Mobile Generation, Personal Branding Building Startup Communities, Innovation , Leveraging Technology Platforms and How to Sustainably Manage Growth, among other relevant topics. We are proud to say that some of our TIC Alumnis have shined at the #GES2016. Mariana Costa, Checa Co – Founder of Laboratoria is a TIC Americas Alumni who share a discussion with President Obama, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Mai Medhat from Egypt and Jean Bosco from #Rwanda in Palo Alto, California, last June 24. Mariana is a young entrepreneur from Peru. As a finalist of TIC Americas 2015 take part of the YABT support network in the framework of the Leadership Links Program. This provides opportunities, support and international visibility to its member – TIC Americas, CIC, Eco Challenge, Business Labs and NexLinks alumin. As an example, Mariana Costa was nominated to participate in the the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Perú last year with the President of the World Bank, Jim Young Kim; the actor and activist, Sean Penn; and the Cofounder of LinkedIn, Allen Blue, shared the panel with Ashish J. Thakkar, Cofounder of Mara Group; Blanca Treviño, President and CEO from Softtek.
