YABT, MASHAV, and MCTC train young entrepreneurs in the Caribbean
Grenada, October 17, 2014 —The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) and the Mount Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) are pleased to announce the implementation of four Business Lab Workshops in the Caribbean:

YABT’s Business Labs program consists of an integral, regional program that teach youth how to become entrepreneurs by encouraging creativity and innovative ideas through practical exercises and the establishment of new ventures. Business Labs have three phases that runs in twelve/months cycles: assessment, hands-on training, and Follow-up activities. By the end of the week, youth will equip themselves with the necessary skills, tools, tips and resources to start their own business.
From day one, all trainees begin working to build their initial project ideas with the objective of presenting a consolidated business model on the last day of the workshop. The goal is to facilitate business development support the young participant when creating the business prototype.
MCTC trainers will support young entrepreneurs to registers and participate successfully in the Caribbean Innovation Challenge (CIC), a regional platform and competition to support and recognize innovative entrepreneurial ventures.

The Caribbean Innovation Challenge (CIC) is an international entrepreneur competition and business start-up accelerator for young people in the CARICOM Member States. Organized by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), in collaboration with regional and national partners, the CIC, is part of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC America), the most recognized Hemispheric Competition for Young Entrepreneurs in the Americas. The CIC and TIC Americas go beyond traditional competitions as they incorporate training and mentoring as a “before” stage and follow-up, investment linkages and promotion opportunities as a “after” stage.
These workshops are directly linked with supporting youth entrepreneurship programs in the Caribbean, including the Caribbean Innovation Challenge (CIC), an international entrepreneur competition and business start-up accelerator for young people in the CARICOM Member states.
