YABT and PROSPERA/SEDESOL Sealed Commitment to boost Entrepreneurship in Mexico

Washington DC, United States, December 2, 2014 – the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and PROSPERA –a program within the Social Development Secretariat of Mexico (SEDESOL)–, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on December 1st, 2014 aimed at joining efforts to create new opportunities for young entrepreneurs in Mexico.

Moreover, PROSPERA representatives will take parte in a panel on Migration during the Youth Conference of the Organization of American States (OAS) which takes place on December 2, 2014 in Washington DC, United States.

This event took place at the Headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC. This activity was conducted by Hugo Zertuche Guerrero, PROSPERA General Director of Geostatistical Information Analysis and Evaluation, and Luis Viguria, YABT CEO.

PROSPERA Mission travelling to Washington DC included Josué Jasan Vargas Olmos, PROSPERA General Director of Monitoring Division; Hugo Zertuche Guerrero, PROSPERA General Director of Geostatistical Information Analysis and Evaluation; and Paulina Rodríguez Salinas, PROSPERA Advisor of International Affairs.

PROSPERA within the Social Development Secretariat of Mexico (formerly known as Oportunidades) is a Mexican federal program that fosters by supporting Mexican citizens in extreme poverty condition in the spheres of education, health, nutrition, and income.

This Memorandum signed envisages the development of an action plan that aims to develop international partnerships, visibility and strategic connections with entrepreneurs in the Americas, as well as international promotion of PROSPERA/SEDESOL.
