YABT launches national activities to promote innovation, business development and strengthen the follow up systems in the Americas.

Washington, DC, June 4, 2015 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) continues supporting Member States of the Organization of American States (OAS) to strength local capacities in order to promote entrepreneurship as an engine of economic and social development, creating more opportunities for youth.
Thus, the alliance between YABT and Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) assures for the rest of the year the implementation of twelve workshops focused on methodologies of the Business Labs Program, InnovAction and Nex Links "Monitoring networks for young entrepreneurs", implemented by YABT with the support of the OAS. This is possible thanks to the renewal of the cooperation agreement recently signed between YABT and MASHAV.
These training programs aim at policy makers and institutions promoting entrepreneurship, as well as young entrepreneurs with business initiatives with growth potential. Each workshop has an extensive and rigorous process of selection, training and certifying people committed and able to transfer knowledge to entrepreneurs in the areas of coverage of its entities and programs. Specialists from the International Training Center-Mount Carmel Golda Meir (MCTC), based in Haifa, Israel, will conduct the training workshops.
Workshops implemented in Latin America and the Caribbean contribute to the follow up process of the Youth Declaration, adopted in Panama during the IV Young Americas Forum of the VII Summit of the Americas. Mentioning among other things: "...new companies created by young people are an important source of employment and, therefore, we plead for the generation of opportunities for accessible financing for the creation of such”.
