TIC Americas 2016 Extends Registration Deadline

Washington DC, January 15, 2016 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) has announced that registration for the 2016 Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) will be extended until January 31 of 2016 at 11:59 pm (Washington, DC time).

We have decided to extend the registration deadline to give the opportunity for young people of the Americas to participate in new categories and prizes we've recently announced: TIC Dominican Republic, the Social Innovation Award for the Start-Up category, and a special recognition for Best Female Entrepreneur.

Similarly, the Eco-Challenge Category will keep registration open until January 31, 2016 at 11:59 pm (Washington, DC time) for its 4 environmental challenges: Sustainable Agriculture, PET recycling, Water Accessibility and Eco-friendly Awareness Apps.

Thanks to the alliance with BanReservas, the TIC Dominican Republic category has established itself as a new opportunity for young Dominican entrepreneurs. To apply for this new category, proposals must meet the deliverables that apply to TIC Americas’ Start-Up or SME categories. The registration deadline for TIC Dominican Republic is February 27, 2016 at 11:59 pm (Washington, DC time).

Thanks to the Executive Secretary for Integral Development (SEDI) of the Organization of American States (OAS), TIC Americas will have for the third consecutive year the Social Innovation Award for the Start-up category. This special recognition will reward the team that through innovation, technology, creativity and social awareness has developed a solution to improve the quality of life of their community members.

We invite entrepreneurs between 18 and 34 years old who are citizens of one of 34 Member States of the OAS to register their economic, social or environmental business proposals at www.ticamericas.net. There is over US$ 50,000 in prizes: seed capital, mentoring, international visibility, market access and various opportunities from joining the YABT network of entrepreneurs.
