New Category: TIC Dominican Republic

Washington DC, January 15, 2016 – The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and BanReservas have the pleasure of announcing a national category for the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas, TIC Dominican Republic 2016. Young entrepreneurs interested in participating can submit their proposals until February 27.
YABT, in partnership with BanReservas, created the first national edition of TIC Dominican Republic with the objective of recognizing internationally the Dominican entrepreneurial talent, with a particular emphasis on young Dominicans abroad who are interested in starting or developing an innovative solution to pressing problems in their home country. A multidisciplinary committee will evaluate all proposals for TIC Dominican Republic between March and April. The three finalists will be announced on April 15, 2016. Every team thatsubmitted all deliverables will receive a feedback from our judges. Finalists will participate in the finals of TIC Americas in June in the Dominican Republic. This event will take place within the framework of the 46 General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).

January 15 to February 26: Training and support for entrepreneurs
February 27: Deadline to submit projects
April 15: Announcement of finalists
June 9 and 10: TIC Dominican Republic/TIC Americas Finals
TIC Americas has established itself as a platform of opportunities available for all young people of the Americas when it comes to creating and enhancing their business ideas. All participants of TIC Dominican Republic will be part of the YABT network which gives them access to innovative international training opportunities, scholarships, access to funds, markets and global visibility.
TIC Americas is a program created by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) an international nonprofit organization that works in cooperation with the OAS. YABT supports the objectives of the Member States of the OAS by promoting youth development programs that promote entrepreneurship, the creation of jobs and to ensure that young people improve their living conditions. www.yabt.net
