TIC Americas 2019 closes its registrations with impressive results
Washington, DC, March 1, 2019 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), announces the closing of the fourteenth edition of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas), by receiving a total of 5,106 registrations among all its categories in this edition: Startup Challenge, Eco-Challenge 10.0 and the Caribbean Innovation Competition (CIC).
The YABT extends special greetings to each of the young entrepreneurs who trusted in the program and registered their ideas. Without them, this great result would not have been possible. We want to highlight their enthusiasm and commitment to improving the quality of life of people in their communities through their innovative solutions.
Launched in 2007, TIC Americas has established itself as a benchmark program that supports and accelerates the initiatives of young entrepreneurs, connecting them with investment opportunities and access to markets, providing them with tools, business resources and business networks, and that support them to position their entrepreneurial ideas and expand them rapidly.
The TIC Americas 2019 begins a new stage for the evaluation component to be facilitated by a select group of international judges, who will be responsible for selecting the Finalist teams that will receive the scholarships to compete in the Finals, to be held next June in Medellín, Colombia, during the 49th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).
The YABT appreciates the firm and decisive support of the strategic partners of the program: the OAS, PepsiCo Latin America Beverages and WeWork. In addition to each of the national and regional organizations that offered their collaboration throughout the continent.
Finalist teams will be announced in the YABT social networks and websites on May 1st of this year. From that moment, they will enter a preparatory process on their way to the Finals, receiving training and mentoring sessions by international experts through YABT BootCamps and local partners of the program, in order to improve their strategy and business model.
