YABT is Promoting Opportunities for the Open Government Fellowships of the OAS

Washington DC, October 12th, 2016 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Department of Effective Public Management (DGPE) of the Organization of American States (OAS), reaffirms their cooperation frame promoting new initiatives for the support of Open Government. In this regard, they undertake joint actions to monitor and provide greater opportunities for young professionals participants of “OAS Fellowship Open Government in the Americas" program.

YABT and DGPE-OAS will bring them closer to programs that provide additional tools and resources to the continue empowering as agents of change, being able to generate new ideas to face the challenges of the continent and make progress in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Fellows will have access to business skills training programs such as Business Labs in Latin America and the Caribbean, and international courses in Israel scheduled for 2017; thanks to the technical cooperation between YABT and the Government of Israel. Furthermore, access to virtual trainingseries provided by international experts from YABT Business Opportunity Online Training - Boot Camp.

Social and business ideas, will be supported from the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas), with the possibility of registration until 15 January 2017. TIC Americas - established itself as a platform and business accelerator that provides support for entrepreneurs in their integral growth –it becomes a vehicle to approach mentors, networks of key contacts and investment opportunities, positioning models of innovative and viable business in the market.

Clearly there is a commitment to make youth stay involved in global equities, allowing acquire new and better tools that reflect an appropriate decision-making for the development of our region. YABT and DGPE-OAS, will continue develop the joint initiatives to empower young people on the continent, contributing to the mandates and pillars of the OAS.
