Washington DC, January 31, 2019 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) announces that the XIV edition of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas 2019) extension of the applications deadline until February 28, 2019.
The competition, as launched since 2007, and it focuses on providing young entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their idea/project in an international stage. Also, it connects them with a growing community of entrepreneurs, and it provides them with activities that strengthen their business skills to prepare them to be competitive in the market.
If you have an innovative solution, and your team consists of young people between 18 and 34 who are citizens of a Member State of the OAS, this is the time for you to register in TIC Americas 2019, to compete for the prizes; among other things, such as monetary incentive, international visibility, certificate, and an award as one of the most innovative and promising ventures on the continent. In addition, participants are able to compete for a scholarship that will take you to the Finals in Colombia during June 2019. For this edition, there are three award categories. However, others categories will be announced later on, according to the Young Americas Business Trust, which is the organizer of the joint competition with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS), PepsiCo, and a network of local partners in the countries of the Hemisphere:
Startup Challenge seeks the development of innovative solutions from young entrepreneurs, who propose productive models with a positive impact on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Startup Challenge promotes and supports the consolidation of fast-growing enterprises in the financial, trade, agriculture, health, manufacturing, education, energy, and other sectors.
Eco-Challenge 10.0 seeks the development of innovative solutions developed by young people that allow the improvement of the quality of life of people through a tripartite approach divided into Nutrition, Environment, and Women. Eco-Challenge 10.0 is the result of an alliance between PepsiCo and YABT, with the support of the OAS, in order to promote sustainable innovation empowering young people as agents of change in their communities. This edition seeks to recognize all those business solutions that identify and provide innovative, sustainable and viable business solutions to reduce the impact of industries on the environment.
Caribbean Innovation Competition (CIC), seeks the development of innovative solutions and commercial proposals developed by young entrepreneurs, that address the most pressing challenges and aimed at turning the Caribbean into a sustainable region, with economic opportunities in potential sectors of their economies.
Participants from previous editions have been able to participate in other programs and activities around the world, from global innovation competitions in Asia, international courses and study visits to Israel, meetings, and forums as speakers; besides interviews and appearances in the international press. Regardless of the business model, TIC Americas seeks to support young entrepreneurs growth, and it helps them take their ideas beyond their borders.
