YABT announces a Workshop on Entrepreneurial Innovation in Israel

Israel continues positioning itself as one of the most competitive economies in the world, characterized by strongly promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through programs and public policy that incentivize the creation of innovative businesses. There is a lot to learn from Israel's experience, which is why the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) offers the opportunity to participate in the International Workshop "Entrepreneurial Innovation: Business from the idea to implementation" that will take place in Haifa, Israel, on July 17-30, 2013.

The Workshop is made possible thanks to the international cooperation between YABT and the State of Israel, by way of Israel's Agency for Development and Cooperation (MASHAV) and the Golda Meir Mount Carmel International Training Center (MCTC). The Workshop's objective is to provide a learning platform and exchange "best practices" and policy that favor the promotion of innovative business culture. This will be given in English and led by professionals from various organizations involved in programs and public policy regarding entrepreneurship.

During two weeks the participants will be trained in both theoretical and practical sessions, dialogue with the experts exchanging their experience and lessons learnt between participants and Israeli professionals, and also, visit a variety of organizations focused on business support as well as take part in cultural and religious tours. The agenda includes topics such as: public policy development in entrepreneurships and innovation, support to spin-off entrepreneurships, funding and investment angels, women entrepreneurs; as part of the theme and objectives of the Workshop.

The participants will have the opportunity to present on the state of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in their countries, as well as the experiences and success stories from the programs and initiatives they manage in their organizations. The Workshop will provide them with entrepreneurial tools, methodologies and resources to aid with the improvement of their capacity and coverage of local, national and regional programs. Ideally, upon their return to their home countries, the participants will be able to share with others the knowledge and experience they will have gained from the Workshop.

The selection process for the participants is very competitive. Those interested in applying for the Workshop need to fill out the Application Form as soon as possible by clicking here. This form, as well as the rest of the required documents will need to be presented at the Diplomatic Missions of Israel in the country of residence of the applicant. Before presenting these documents, it is recommended to contact the Mission directly, as they may require additional documents.

YABT, MASHAV and MCTC Israel are committed to the support of the efforts of the countries in the Americas that are geared towards entrepreneurship and innovation with the objective to improve economic and social development, while generating support opportunities for entrepreneurs and their business initiatives.
