During the month of November, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Barbados and the OECS and the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) are pleased to announce three upcoming Mini Business Labs workshops, taking place in: Suriname, the Bahamas, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. There will also be a Business Lab workshop in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Business Labs is a five-day training workshop that provides participants with managerial and practical experience in the different aspects of a small business. The Mini Business Labs is a one-day awareness creation workshop that helps young people identify business ideas which can be later developed into business plans or established businesses.
Mini Business Labs and Business Labs workshops provide support for young people, helping them generate innovative business ideas, preparing them to register for the Caribbean Innovation Challenge (CIC) – www.youthin-cic.net. The CIC is a regional competition that promotes innovation, entrepreneurial initiatives and key resources for young people in the Caribbean.
The Mini Business Labs and the Business Labs are components of a larger UNDP program called: Youth-Innovation (Youth-IN): A Caribbean network for youth development, which promotes youth INclusion, youth INnovation, youth INterest and youth INvolvement. The CIC is also a component in the UNDP Youth-IN program.
