Washington DC, July 28, 2016 — Young American Business Trust (YABT), PepsiCo, Postobon, CBC and the Organization of American States (OAS), they will make the Hemispheric launch of the XII edition the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) and Eco-Challenge 8.0, on September 06 in IMJUVE headquarters (Salón Murales) at Serapio Rendón No. 76, Colonia San Rafael, Del. Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06470, Mexico City.

Every year the youth of the Americas demonstrate their innovation and entrepreneurial potential through the proposals presented to TIC Americas and the Eco-Challenge. In the last years, we have been worked with many projects that have managed to position themselves in Latin America and global markets which is a badge of pride for our organization and establishes the TIC Americas as the most important competition in the hemisphere”.
We invited youth in Latin America and the Caribbean between 18 and 34 years old that have an innovative idea or business in the economic, social, cultural and environmental, fields to register online at http://www.ticamericas.net before January 15th, 2017.
Once registered you will have the opportunity to compete internationally and present your project in the framework of the pre-activities of the 47th general assembly of the OAS and can win cashes prizes of USD 5,000 among others awards. The best teams will have the opportunity to travel and participate in TIC Americas as a finalist of Eco-Challenge 2017 that will be held next year in Mexico.
With this registration participants have free access to our online tools available on the YABT Boot Camp. The entrepreneurs will benefit from our resources like virtual training provided by YABT and other allies in the region. In order to improve their business plans, prototypes and other elements, to make it better and viable and in this way increase their chances of winning in their respective category.

In its last edition, TIC Americas has grown to include over 4,000 young entrepreneurs from 39 countries and has further integrated participants from Latin America and the Caribbean, through the Caribbean Innovation Competition (CIC).Directed by entrepreneurs of the states of CARICON.
In 2009, PepsiCo and YABT partnered to create the Eco-Challenge, a category of awards within TIC Americas, focused on innovative projects that offer creative solutions to environmental problems. In 2013, cbc and YABT partnered to create the regional Eco-Challenge aimed at promoting innovative solutions for environmental problems developed by Young Central Americans. In 2015, Postobón joined YABT, PepsiCo, and cbc in order to increase efforts in Colombia and create a Colombian national eco-challenge category. The category has grown progressively since its first edition, where 300 teams from across the region registered to participate. In 2016, 1,675 teams from 25 countries took the Eco-Challenge, demonstrating the growing involvement of youth in creating innovative solutions to environmental issues.
