Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, December 16, 2015 -- The Young Americas Business Trust traveled to Santo Domingo to announce that the finals of this edition of TIC Americas will take place within the framework of the 46 OAS General Assembly in June, 2016.
YABT held several meetings with key members of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and members of the business community in Dominican Republic to present the advantages and opportunities that TIC Americas can bring to local entrepreneurs.
YABT CEO Luis Viguria gave presentation to group of college and school professors about our work in raising awareness about the importance of teaching entrepreneurship in an early stage of studies. Moreover, he invited professors to involve their students in both Ideas for Action Competition and TIC Americas
Moreover, YABT had the opportunity to take part in the Start-Up Weekend Santo Domingo with more than 70 young entrepreneurs. Eco-Challenge Coordinator Isabella Troconis gave an participation on why participating in TIC Americas is a tremendous opportunities for local young entrepreneurs seeking to access to new markets and capital. The projects resulting from the Start-Up Weekend Santo Domingo are eligible to participate in TIC Americas.
