Washington, D.C., September 16, 2025. During the recent Regular Meeting of the <\/span>Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG)<\/span><\/a>, the Chief Executive Officer of the <\/span>Young Americas Business Trust (YABT)<\/span><\/a>, Luis Viguria, presented the progress made in the process leading to the <\/span>VII Young Americas Forum<\/span><\/a>, to be held on December 2 – 3, 2025, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, as an official activity of the <\/span>X Summit of the Americas<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

During his intervention at the SIRG, YABT highlighted the advances achieved in this process, emphasizing the mobilization of more than 6,000 young people from 35 countries, who have developed nearly 5,000 innovative solutions addressing issues aligned with mandates and priorities of the upcoming Summit. These results have been made possible thanks to programs such as the <\/span>Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas (TIC Americas)<\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>Leadership Labs<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Nexlinks<\/span><\/a>, as well as through national dialogues and regional consultations that have engaged hundreds of young people from diverse sectors and communities, in collaboration with partners across the region.<\/span><\/p>

The VII Young Americas Forum will feature a high-level agenda that, over two days, will bring together international leaders and prominent representatives from government, the private sector, young leaders, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders from the inter-American community.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cTogether with strategic partners, YABT has strengthened youth participation in the Summit process through dialogues, consultations, and innovation competitions, promoting a safe, sustainable, and prosperous hemisphere,\u201d said Viguria.<\/span><\/p>

The program and its consultation process are built around the fundamental pillars of Human Security: Citizen Security, Food Security, Energy Security, and Water Security, recognizing these as priority challenges for the hemisphere that require active youth participation and concrete proposals.<\/span><\/p>

Punta Cana will welcome more than 200 youth delegates who will contribute their perspectives and proposals in thematic working groups. These discussions will lead to the presentation of the Youth Commitment Declaration before the Heads of State and Government, consolidating recommendations and outlining next steps toward building a safe, sustainable, and inclusive hemisphere.<\/span><\/p>

The most promising emerging ventures will be showcased in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo, while the program will also include discussion spaces and plenary sessions, keynote conferences, and opportunities for interaction between leaders and youth.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cThis Forum is not only a meeting space but also a hemispheric platform for action, where youth become key agents of transformation,\u201d added Viguria, addressing government representatives at the SIRG meeting.<\/span><\/p>
