Guatemala, will be host of NexLinks Workshop

Guatemala City, Guatemala, August 21, 2017. The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Government of Israel through Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV)will work together on development of  the NexLinks workshop – Support Systems for Business Development, as part of the support to OAS Member States in the strengthen the pillars of business ecosystems and the generation of jobs, using the entrepreneurship as a tool for the empowerment of young people in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity will have place in the Guatemala City from September 04th to 08th of this year.

The proposed program has like aim to provide international tools and methodologies for local entities to improve the consistency of support and follow-up services during the business process. The workshop will be conducted by two specialists from Israel with a long professional experience in different continents, as part of the technical cooperation agreement between the OAS, YABT and the Government of Israel, having as locals partners Ministry of Laborand theMinistry of Economy.

The call is directed at professionals from different disciplines from public and private sectors, as well as academic. In addition, it is a requirement to have the commitment to multiply the knowledge with other organizations and entrepreneurs community of Guatemala and the rest of the region. The activities of the program include plenary sessions, group discussions, case studies, among other things.

NexLinks is a program focused on the creation of mechanisms and tools to support young entrepreneurs in the initial expansion phases of their businesses. It serves as a resource base for content and contacts; and is a supplement that improves the level and consistency of follow-up services provided to young entrepreneurs locally and internationally.
