Washington, D.C., May 2, 2016. Known as the emerging capital of global entrepreneurship, Washington, D.C., has been chosen to be the destination of the NexLinks Mission recently announced by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT). The NexLinks Mission, “Connection and Exchange of Experiences on Entrepreneurship”, will take place this fall, from.
The planned activities will promote an exchange of experiences and connections between global allies that strengthen entrepreneurship programs and economic development. In order to do this, YABT offers technical assistance so that members of the Mission have access to best practices, networking, and spaces to generate international visibility for their organizations and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The program is designed for people with social and business ventures at any stage. In addition, it will convene officials from government agencies, the private sector, academia, development banks, and NGOs dedicated to the development and implementation of programs that promote entrepreneurship and economic development.
The agenda includes international high-level events organized by multilateral banks, learning sessions, networking spaces, and meetings with officials from governmental agencies, international organizations, and accelerators, among other activities.
Washington, D.C., has a growing community of startups, leadership hubs, intersectoral entrepreneurship, innovation enterprises and represents an opportunity to open or expand markets in the United States. It is a cosmopolitan city that combines art, history and the contemporary with a variety of professional, academic and business opportunities.
The Mission is part of the Regional NexLinks Program of YABT, focused on the creation of mechanisms and tools that support entrepreneurs in their beginning and expanding stages of their businesses.
