Recognition to organizations leading on entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean

Cancun, Mexico, June 20, 2017 - The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) distinguished companies and organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean in the framework of the end of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) for their leadership, Efforts and achievements in promoting entrepreneurship in the region.

The special recognitions of the 2017 edition were presented on June 18th and 19th in the City of Cancún, Mexico, in front of an audience composed by representatives of international organizations, private sector, governments of the countries of the region, academia, and organizations Non-governmental and high-impact entrepreneurs.

The awards for Excellence in Entrepreneurship were awarded to the following award-winning organizations:

Pepsico Latin America

For its distinguished support and contribution to TIC Americas through the Eco-Challenge program, the category of environmental innovation focused on water, recycling and sustainable agriculture, which this year had its eighth edition.

Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

For the successful construction of the Caribbean Innovation Competition (CIC) that fosters entrepreneurship in the Caribbean region, with a focus on technology marketing and creative industries.


For his leadership in identifying and supporting high impact entrepreneurs in the Dominican Republic through the national TIC category Dominican Republic and support through the program CREE BanReservas.

In addition, with the support of Pepsico Latin America, recognition was given to the organization of Young Entrepreneur 2017:
