Tegucigalpa, Honduras - June 22, 2015. In the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Government of Israel through its Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), partner to implement the Support Systems and Business Development/ Nex Links, workshop.
The opening ceremony was chaired by government officials and the strategic partners that make the program possible. In such activity more than 30 participants from eight regions of the country, were awarded with grants by the organizers of the workshop.
José Clautier, Program Officer of YABT, said "The YABT and its local partners work closely to promote innovation and development of high-impact projects in Honduras. As a result, is the Workshop, Support Systems and Business Development who we are opening and many actions that we will continue developing."
This group of people represents entities of the Technical Committee of Entrepreneurship, who support the Strategy for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship of Honduras, government officials and academia. It is important to mention young entrepreneurs participation who are beneficiaries of support institutions that offers business development of this Central American Country.
The training program aims to transfer tools, content and international methodologies to local capabilities in order to expand business services and support to entrepreneurs and PYME’S in the business process.
During the Opening Ceremony intervened MIPYME- Undersecretary of Social Sector of the Economy of the Ministry of Economic Development, Carlos Gunther Lainez; the Representative of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Honduras, Claudia Barrientos; the Programme Officer, Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), José Clautier; the Vice President for International Relations of the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), Julio Unleashed; and Israeli specialist Marcelo Firstman, by the International Training Center-Mount Carmel Golda Meir (MCTC) in Haifa, Israel.
Claudia Barrientos, Representative of the Organization of American States in Honduras, highlighted:"From the Organization of American States we strongly believe in what youth can do through his wit and talent, determination and effort which will trace the path success, as women and men makers of innovative companies, contributing to job creation and sustainable economic growth."
After the opening ceremony, plenary sessions started with the topic about the business support system of Israel; pioneer Nation in innovation that with its alliance with the YABT developed knowledge transfer to Member States of the OAS.
Marcelo Firstman and David Boruszek are MCTC Israel specialists in charge of conducting the training program characterized by its intensity, and practical approach, where participants made a proposal for the creation or strengthening of Centers for Entrepreneurial Development, which must be sustained on last day in a Panel of Experts.
