Washington, DC, January 31, 2019 - The Young Americas Business Trust announces the XIV Edition of TIC Americas and Eco-Challenge 10.0 applications deadline extension until February 28, 2019.
During its nine previous editions, the Eco-Challenge has received 13,048 proposals, presented by 15,935 young people from 35 countries, demonstrating that young people are transforming and improving their communities through entrepreneurship and innovation.
"... Thanks to the participation process, which included feedback and expert advice, we were able to improve our product and image, which allowed us to open new points of sale in different cities of the country and even start working with educational centers.", commented Paula Salazar, CEO of Bio Comfy and winner of Eco-Reto 9.0
The Finalists will receive a full scholarship to compete in the Eco-Challenge 10.0 Finals in Medellin, Colombia, to be held in June, 2019, within the framework of the 49th OAS General Assembly. The winners of each sub-category will receive USD $ 5,000 as seed capital and follow-up activities, among other benefits.
"... Thanks to the knowledge acquired during the trainings, we had more and better tools to publicize our environmental initiative. Of course, the seed capital given by PepsiCo was the trigger for the company's great reception in the coming years, "said Ricardo Alba Torres, founder of the Colombian venture EKOMURO H2O +.
As Paula Salazar and Ricardo Alba both highlighted, you can also scale your initiative internationally and connect with a growing and dynamic network of entrepreneurs in the continent and other regions of the world, which are changing the lives of many people.
