Washington DC, November 14th, 2016 - As every year, the Young Americas Business Trust is pleased to announce multiple activities which will take place from the 14th to 18th of this month to celebrate the Global Entrepreneurship Week.
YABT will present the TIC Americas Competition in Santo Domingo. Within the framework of BanReservas' activities for Global Entrepreneurship Week, Luis Viguira, Chief Executive Officer of the Young Americas Business Trust will participate in numerous activities during this week. Among them, the launch of TIC Americas and its national TIC Dominican Republic category on Tuesday Nov 15 at 7pm. He will be the moderator in the panel "Successful Global Entrepreneurs". The YABT and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare from the Republic of Guatemala will work together on the InnovAction Workshop which is a Business Lab with focus on Innovation development, joining efforts to boost entrepreneurship as a motor for job creation and youth empowerment. The partnership between both entities will allow the generation of capacities for the improvement of business competitiveness, through the environment and innovation process management. YABT will be part of multiple activities which start on November 15th with the Entrepreneurship Forum from the “Universidad Especializada de las Americas (UDELAS)”. On November 16th YABT will participate in two activities which start at the “Centro de la Innovación de la Ciudad del Saber” who will host an Open House to share products, services and opportunities with entrepreneurs. Following the Open House activity YABT will present at the Entrepreneurship day that is hosted by the “Universidad Latina de Panamá”. On November 17th YABT will join private and public organizations to sign in collaboration with the national government the Agreement for Entrepreneurship. In the afternoon of November 17th YABT in collaboration with the Quality Leadership University (QLU Panama) will participate in the conference building opportunities for youth entrepreneurs.
The Young Americas Business Trust and the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) are pleased to announce an International Training Grant for StartUps with the great potential to generate global impact. At the event "Demand Solutions: To Improve Lives in Cities" which for the first time, it will be developed in Argentina on the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. With the objective of promoting entrepreneurship in the Caribbean, YABT and MASHAV will develop a Business Lab in Guyana. The Business Labs are 5-days practical learning methodology that fosters entrepreneurial awareness and the necessary skills for young entrepreneurs to take the first steps in the business creation. The Eco-Challenge Tour for sustainable development will culminate its first tour during the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Guadalajara. This week ends the successful and intense YABT tour through multiple cities which includes Mexico City, Monterrey and Pachuca. The tour aims to provide information on how young people can participate in the Eco-Challenge and at same time be the architects of the Sustainable Development Objectives implementation and the #2030 Agenda. YABT will present the Caribbean Innovation Competition on Thursday November 17th in the frame of the Ignite Caribbean: Farm the future 2016 which will take place at the Inter-American Development Bank.
The online training activities of the YABT BOOTCamp will be part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The training session will cover the topic of prototype and market validation and is scheduled for Friday November 18th at 12:00 pm eastern time.
