About the Young Americas Dialogue

The Dialogue seeks to generate a space for exchange between leaders of the Western Hemisphere and young people promoting actions and showing good advocacy practices and youth entrepreneurship, as a result of working and investing in young people.

Youth Representatives participated in the:

  • 52nd OAS General Assembly
  • II Summit for Democracy 
  • Cities Summit of the Americas for Youth
  • Dialogue on Migration, Development and Integration, Lima, Peru

Session 1: Citizen Participation, Diversity, and Youth Commitments

It’s a space created to facilitate the exchange of ideas and presentation of proposals and actions that youth are leading in their communities, promoting the work carried out based on the commitments established as part of the ongoing Young Americas Forum consultation process.

Session 2: Innovation & Entrepreneurship: TIC Americas and Eco-Challenge 2023 Finalist Teams Elevator Pitches

A representative from each TIC Americas 2023 Finalist team and its special sustainable innovation category: the Eco-Challenge 2023, will present their elevator pitches to the international audience. The activity will showcase the potential impact of sustainable initiatives developed by youth that positively impact the planet and the people.

Description: The dialogue is a space created to facilitate the exchange of ideas and the presentation of proposals and actions that youth lead in their communities, helping to expose the work carried out based on the commitments established as part of the continuous consultation process of the Young Americas Forum. 

During the panel, the youth delegates actively involved in the process will present the actions and recommendations for the 53rd OAS General Assembly, in relation to the following themes: (1) Climate Change, (2) Combating Corruption, (3) Connectivity and Digital Transformation, (4) Strengthening Democracy, (5) Inclusion and Equality, (6) Migration and (7) Health and Resilience.
