Washington, DC, United States, January 13, 2023. – The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) continues to develop a series of informative sessions hand in hand with entrepreneurship ecosystem stakeholders, providing valuable content for young entrepreneurs along with the benefits and steps to join the fourteenth edition of Eco-Challenge, registering an innovative project or idea with the ability to positively impact the planet and people.
These sessions are providing new resources and knowledge for successful entrepreneurship, encouraging and empowering young people to generate positive change through sustainable ventures that are supported and scaled through the Eco-Challenge process.
So far, there have been spaces for interaction with young people from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) through the Coordination of the Graduate Course in Economic Sciences (COORDECO), as well as with the University of São Paulo (USP), through the Coordination of AUSPIN (Agência USP de Inovação). In addition, in the coming days, activities are scheduled with the Universidad de la Frontera (Chile), the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (Mexico), the Municipal Government of Santa Cruz (Bolivia), the Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador (UTEC), the Universidad Anáhuac – Campus Querétaro (Mexico), among entities that play a crucial role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The Eco-Challenge is the sustainable innovation category of the Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas (TIC Americas). Throughout 13 consecutive editions, it has involved more than 28,779 young entrepreneurs and innovators from 34 countries in the Americas. The current edition of Eco-Challenge focuses on Education and Technology, and offers the two best registered teams a prize package that includes a $10,000 USD seed capital, among many other benefits. This program is possible thanks to YABT’s alliance with the Organization of American States (OAS) and PepsiCo Latin America Beverages.
YABT invites different actors in support of entrepreneurial development to join the network of organizations with which each stage of the Eco-Challenge 2023 is being promoted.
