TIC Americas 2023 Finals will highlight the impact of youth innovation!

Washington D.C., July 27, 2023 – The event for the Finals of the current edition of the Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas Program (TIC Americas) will take place on August 4 in a virtual format, bringing together the eight best teams in its special category for sustainable innovation, the Eco-Challenge, announced the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT).

This program is the result of a partnership between  YABT, la OAS y PepsiCo with the Government of Costa Rica and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) as allies in the Finals event.

On this same site, you will find the agenda, the Virtual Expo with the Finalists, among other resources to connect with a growing and vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem that brings together the most outstanding actors from throughout the region:

During the event, the finalists will also play the role of panelists alongside international leaders, experts, and the private sector, presenting the positive and triple impact they have been generating with business models with the potential for integration with the industry and projection with a global ecosystem.

“Innovation and entrepreneurship are pillars of action, and they have helped accelerate the reconstruction and transformation of the economy and society in recent years,” said Luis Viguria, Executive President of YABT.  “These young people will not only present their solutions and compete for a prize, but they also bring with them the impetus and new ways to transform markets with a focus on sustainability,” Viguria concluded at the end of this statement.

With more than 2,110 participating teams this year from all over the region, TIC Americas has proven to be an effective platform in supporting talented young people who seek to transform their ideas into sustainable and socially impactful projects. Regardless of the business model or solution, this program is designed to support entrepreneurs on their path to growth. To date, the program has benefited more than 53,900 young people from 48 countries, and has established itself as the pioneering program for accelerating innovative initiatives led by young people aged 18 to 34.
