The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and Banreservas are calling on young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 34 from the Member States of the Organization of American States (OAS) to register for the Start-Up Challenge and contribute innovative solutions aligned with the theme of the 10th Summit of the Americas: “Building a Secure, Sustainable, and Prosperous Hemisphere.”

The challenge specifically seeks initiatives that introduce innovative business models to drive development, innovation, and digital transformation while effectively addressing the four fundamental pillars of human security: citizen security, food security, energy security, and water security.

This strategic approach aims to positively impact communities across the Americas by promoting emerging enterprises that tackle these critical regional challenges. Registration for the Start-Up Challenge is open until April 15, 2025, through the official website: www.ticamericas.net/startup.

The Start-Up Challenge is part of the current edition of the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas), which serves as the Entrepreneurship for Action component of the 7th Young Americas Forum at the 10th Summit of the Americas, to be held in December in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Beyond providing international visibility, TIC Americas offers key benefits such as specialized training, mentorship, investor access, and a strategic networking platform to support market expansion. Through the Business Opportunity Online Training Camp (BOOTCamp) developed by YABT, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their business strategies and showcase their solutions within a global innovation ecosystem.

Finalists will compete for a prize package that includes $5,000 in seed capital and other incentives, as well as the opportunity to exhibit their ventures at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo during the 7th Young Americas Forum at the 10th Summit of the Americas.
