Washington, DC, March 01, 2022. Eco-Challenge 2022 officially closed its registrations on February 28, with a total of 2,009 proposals submitted by 2,220 young people, from 34 countries of the Americas. The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) thanks each and every young entrepreneur who took the step of registering in the program and contributing with their proposals to build a world where plastic does not become waste.
YABT expresses its gratitude to the Organization of American States (OAS) – extensive to its National Offices – and PepsiCo Latin American Beverages, for their invaluable and determined support as strategic partners that make the Eco-Challenge possible.
At the same time, we thank each organization, expert of the TIC Americas network and other actors in the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with whom we have joined efforts during this call, making sustainable entrepreneurship and in particular the circular economy principles of the plastic, continue to position themselves as a source of economic opportunities for youth and a consolidated and accepted model by the industry and consumers.
During this period, 11 training sessions were held through the YABT BOOTCamp, addressing key issues to build a solid and attractive value proposition to be implemented.
Follow us on our social networks to keep up to date with the announcement of the Finalists and with the rest of the activities that YABT develops in favor of the entrepreneurship community.
