The youth has been invited to the youth activity of the 54th General Assembly of the OAS

Washington, D.C., June 17, 2024. Youth are invited to be part of the III Young Americas Meeting. The youth activity of the 54th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) is taking place on June 24 and 25 at the San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL), located at Av. Venezuela 2087, Asunción 001533, Paraguay.

The meeting is organized by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), in conjunction with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL). The agenda and registration are available on the website: https://yabt.net/foro/encuentro-2024/

This meeting is an interactive space for young entrepreneurs and leaders, recognizing the impact of youth innovation as a vehicle for development, as well as a hemispheric visibility platform within the framework of one of the most important events for cooperation and political dialogue in the Americas. This meeting is part of the permanent process and continuous consultations of the Young Americas Forum Program of YABT.

During the meeting, there will be Thematic Working Groups, plenary sessions, panels, networking spaces, and a Youth Dialogue with the OAS Secretary General, H.E. Luis Almagro, among other activities. The youth and key actors in the entrepreneurship ecosystem are encouraged to be part of this unique opportunity, participating both days of the meeting. The activities are free and endowed with high-value content for a youth enthusiastic and committed to making a positive change.

On the second day of the meeting, the Finalists of the current edition of the Talent and Innovation Competitions of the Americas Program (TIC Americas 2024) will be announced during the sessions framed in the innovation competitions: InnovAction Challenge 2.0 and the “Youth in Move” Innovation Challenge.

The youth is also invited to submit their ideas and recommendations through the Virtual Consultation, which leads to a draft report to be discussed during the meeting and finally presented to the governments during the Dialogue of representatives of Civil Society organizations and other Actors with Heads of Delegation, Secretary General, and Assistant Secretary General of the OAS.
